Description
These sculptures were created with wood and flowers found in Leshten. The spotted aesthetic of the wood is a decorative technique used in traditional houses in Leshten.
A master builder named Bekir taught me the decorative technique. A mix of building techniques from the area and artistic input are presented in these two sculptures. Using flowers from the area, as well as the TIKLA (roofing stones) I put them together either by reflection or physically to create a new dimension where the viewer and the surroundings can become a part of it as well by looking for the reflections and fragmentations of the images.
